Ambassador Program

Q: What is an ambassador?

A: According to the American Heritage® Dictionary:

ambassador (n.) A diplomatic official of the highest rank appointed and accredited as a representative in residence by one government or sovereign to another, usually for a specific length of time.

ambassador (n.) A diplomatic official heading his or her country's permanent mission to certain international organizations, such as the United Nations.

ambassador (n.) An authorized messenger or representative.

 


 

The Virtual Nation Ambassador Program is a combination of the second and third definitions from above. Meaning, our program is made up of virtual professionals from all over the globe who share our ethics, mission, and vision; they are willing to represent The Virtual Nation and the virtual professional community at large wherever they happen to be.

How long do I serve as an ambassador?

The term for each ambassador will be one year after which time their term may be renewed at the discretion of each party.

What are the basic functions of the position?

The basic functions of the position is to work collaboratively in the effort to bring about an awareness of the value Virtual Professionals bring to the global economy. It is each ambassador's responsibility to assist in the research and development of the five areas of concentration and be prepared to present and share their results with the group and The Virtual Nation™ membership at large.

Why should I become an ambassador?

  • Be a part of a select group of individuals with a shared focus to promote the virtual professional industry worldwide.
  • Build leadership and speaking skills as one of five spokespeople for The Virtual Nation™ and the virtual professional community at large.
  • The Virtual Nation™ will write up a press release announcing each of our ambassadors, your positions, duties, as well as providing your individual businesses, thus providing free publicity exposure worldwide.
  • Receive Ambassador Program logo designation to place on your website or other collateral indicating your ambassadorship.
  • The Ambassador Program logo will be displayed on your profile page on The Virtual Nation™ website
  • You will write articles for inclusion of the monthly ezine, The Vision to update the membership on the progress of your area of concentration. Receive full credit for authorship.
  • You will write short synopsis pieces on The Virtual Nation™ blog to update the membership on the progress of your area of concentration. Receive full credit for authorship.
  • You will be able to try out the latest solutions first, provide feedback directly to the group and be an active participant in membership offerings, new products, services and brainstorm for new areas of concentration.
  • The opportunity to develop the Ambassador Program into a more robust program.

How many ambassador positions are available?

There will only be five positions available. We want to keep the group small in order to be the most effective and accomplish the goals of The Virtual Nation™ and the virtual professional community at large.

How are ambassadors invited to participate in the program?

Currently, ambassadors are either invited by Michelle Ulrich, the founder of The Virtual Nation™ or requested via email. We are also working on possibilities that include nominations by the membership and other methods.

How much does the program cost?

To become an ambassador, there is a monthly or one-time fee.

$117 per month or $1197 per year.

What is expected of me (job descriptions)?

There are five areas of concentration, so each person will be in charge of one area. Areas will overlap, therefore, we will all share in the workload.

  • Area 1 - Global Community Outreach
  • Area 2 - Fundraising
  • Area 3 - Membership Value
  • Area 4 - Programs
  • Area 5 - Publicity

What should I expect during the meetings?

Meetings will begin and end on time. We will adhere to Roberts Rules of Order and use an agenda to facilitate the topics of the day. All members will share in the friendly, collaborative environment.
