The Vision

"I think there is something, more important than believing: Action! The world is full of dreamers, there aren't enough who will move ahead and begin to take concrete steps to actualize their vision."

 W. Clement Stone quotes (American best selling Author and Founder of Combined Insurance Co (now a part of Aon Corp.), 1902-2002)

What's The Vision?

"Don't wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful."

What's Up with TVN?

Obviously, our new look is What's New, but more than that, we are taking The Virtual Nation to a whole new level.

Some of you may know that Sharon and I have decided to dissovle our business partnerships, thus the recent changes with The Virtual Nation and Green Office Solutions. We have basically been growing in different directions and finally made it official last month. We are still friends and will continue to collaborate whenever needed. I know I learned a lot this past year and wouldn't do it differently if I had the opportunity.

I am really excited about this New Year and all that I envision for both my business and personal growth. I am bringing you lots of goodies and tools in the next few weeks, so keep your eyes pealed to the website, blog and monthly ezine.

For all of you who have been patiently waiting this past year for all of the cool things to roll out, I am extending a special offer to you. I am extending all of your existing memberships for one more full year. That means, you won't have to pay for your memberships until January 2008. Let me know if you have any questions about this.

In other news, I will begin teaching an online Virtual Assistant certificate program this fall. I am working hard to get all of The Virtual Nation stuff done so I can start developing my lesson plans. My students will get the best of The Virtual Nation and my personalized training all wrapped together. If you are interested in joining my classes, send me an email with the subject, Fall 2007 VA Class.

Blog

What's up with the blog? Nothing! I have been busy getting The Virtual Nation up to the next level...where I envision it to be.

I do plan to write more frequently on topics such as, shortcuts, new software, tools, and products and services you might find interesting. If you come across anything you'd like me to share with the world, let me know; I'll be sure to check it out.

If you'd like to work on a co-marketing effort where we exchange links, guest blog for each other, or you have other ideas for marketing and promotion, let me know.

Newsletter

Our archived newsletters can be viewed on our website. If you'd like to create an online newsletter (a.k.a. ezine pron. ee-zeen), be sure to ask us how. There are great programs out there to help those without HTML knowledge and templates for intermediate users. Of course, you can always hire someone to design and publish your ezine for you, too. TVN has a lot of members who are capable of doing this for you. Check out some of the the following sites:

  • Constant Contact - Email marketing with Constant Contact means you have the industry-leading service, support, and personal coaching trusted by more than 90,000 small businesses, associations, and nonprofits.
  • Emailbrain - EmailBrain has powerful newsletter management features that enable you to easily manage your brand image.
EmailBrain includes a full suite of tools within the template library for on-line content creation and on-line content storage.

For those of you who use web design software like FrontPage or Dreamweaver, you may want to consider the following ezine delivery tools.

  • Ezine Director - You can use a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML Editor, reuse templates & formatting by copying and pasting the code directly into the HTML editor field, schedule a specific time & date to send your ezine, and even use the set & forget list options.
  • Ezezine - We started EZezine as ezine publshers in search of a satisfactory and affordable hosting solution. We didn't want to be clumped with the email marketers or spammers. We recognize the value of publishing content driven ezines. When we realized our search was futile, we decided to design and create our own solution.
  • Professional Cart Solutions - Jump-start your online business and enjoy a hands-free income! Our integrated eCommerce solutions allows you to sell products, services and communicate with your clients through your website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, automatically. You can automatically deliver a free newsletter or special report, broadcast emails or a newsletter to your database, sell products and services from your web site, and even launch an affiliate marketing campaign.

Virtual Village

The Virtual Village (our online forum) will be launching very soon. While we are still in the development phase, I would like to hear from our members about the topics you are most interested in. Below are some of the topics that interest me, but you'll use the forum way more than me. Send me your list of topics.

  • Virtual Assistance
  • Virtual Employees
  • Telecommuting
  • Creating a Virtual Office
  • Marketing Your Virtual Practice
  • Marketing Best Practices
  • Networking
  • Introductions
