What's
Up with TVN?
We've
added basically a whole new library
to our resource
books section. It's filled with
over 50 books about business, virtual
assistant books, marketing, networking,
anything I could find on Seth Godin
(one of my favorite marketing gurus),
and lots more!
We also
added more resources in just about
every section, including one to find
out if someone has stolen your identity.
It's scary these days, but if you
don't become your own advocate, who
will? Check
it out! While you're checking
your identity, you can also look
at the new 2007 QuickBooks starter
kit.
Are
a new virtual assistant and looking
for scholarships?
We've got you covered. With several
to choose from, it would be worth
your time to investigate these a
bit.
If you
aren't a new virtual professional,
there's still a lot more resources
to fit your needs. In fact, one of
our readers, Sandi Silva, recently
submitted her favorite resource for
event and meeting planners. Check
it out in the travel
resource section.
So,
don't be shy, send us your favorite
resources and tips. We'd love to
give you full credit for sharing
with your peers! Send an email to info@thevirtualnation.com

Are
you a Virtual Assistant?
Are you attending
the Sixth
Annual IVAA Summit?
If not, you don't
know what you are missing!
It is going to be a
gathering of VAs from around the
country who might not ever get the
opportunity to meet again. I went
to a conference a few months after
becoming a VA and had no idea what
I was getting into. I was scared
that I wouldn't know anyone and I'd
be all by myself, but that didn't
stop me. I went and have never regretted
it. I am still great pals with many
of the same women I met almost 4
years ago. Some I have never seen
since, but we email and call each
other now and again. I'll bet you'll
have the same experience, too!
Join your peers that
you've made friends with over the
'net. Have fun and do a little sightseeing
while you're at it. Some of the benefits
from attending this amazing conference
include:
- VA Gathering -
Meet VAs from around the country
- Multiple
Breakout Sessions -
have you seen the speakers
and program line up yet?
- Robert
Brenner - the guy
who undertook the amazing
task of putting together
THE ONLY Virtual Assistant
study will be there.
He's going to be speaking
about pricing! How well
do you know how to price
your services? Robert
will tell you how.
- Keynote
speakers (I
know both these ladies personally
and you'll love them!)
- The opening keynote speaker
on Thursday will be Elinor
Stutz, nationally known
speaker and expert in relationship
sales, her mission is to help
business owners build long-term,
powerful relationships with
clients and prospects.
- The keynote speaker on Friday
will be Jill
Lublin, CEO of Promising
Promotion, who shares her proven
publicity secrets for getting
the attention of national media,
including The New York
Times, CNN, The Today Show,
Good Morning America, and
more.
- Historic
Hotel -
The Summit will be held at
the historic Sir
Francis Drake Hotel ,
which offers luxurious accommodations
at a significantly discounted
rate for Summit attendees.
Rooms will book fast, so
reserve early to take advantage!
- Secret
Dinners & Sightseeing -
It's San Francisco - where
else can you get such a great
variety of food and sightseeing?
Don't miss out! We're
going to have a ton of fun...with
or without you (but we'd rather have
fun with you!) Click on the link
